Request From Mr Sears 07/01/26
We have jumped straight into the new year and already have lots of successes in 2026 across NWPA. The children have returned brilliantly buoyant and eager to impress as well as being incredibly understanding and supportive when we have not been able to head outside due to the icy conditions. Thankfully the playground is now thawed and they are outside as I write this, loving the sunshine and opportunity to run around and be 'children'!
I have an opportunity for someone, or a couple of people, in our school community this year relating to our Forest School programme. As you will know, this is something we invest heavily into and an aspect of the curriculum which our children (and staff!) love. We continue to be blessed with access to both the school site and also Turvey Woods, our ancient woodland. We currently have two Level 3 qualified leaders and two Level 2 leaders. This is great, but the team have requested that I approach our parent/grandparent body to see if anyone wanted to step into a regular volunteering role as we further develop our provision.
Our sessions run on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with some planning time and extra sessions on Wednesdays. You would not need to commit to everything, but we are keen to hear from anyone who might want to get more involved in this, learn new skills and support with developing it further.
If you want to know more or just want a chat about it, please email me directly or grab me on the gate.
Thanks in advance and hopefully we can find one or two people who this might appeal to.
Mr Sears
