When calculating the circumference and area of circles, preferably you'd use the 𝜋 button on your calculator. But if your calculator doesn't have a 𝜋 button, or you can't find it, using 3.14 in your calculations is also fine.
For the volume of cubes, rectangular prisms, triangular prism and cylinder you only need to watch the video between [0:00 - 9:30]. However, if you are interested to learn about the volume of spheres and cones you can continue to watch the rest of the video.
