HAPPY MONDAY!!
Thank you for helping to make last week's testing session a success. We had excellent student attendance, and students really tried their best on the tests. We appreciate your support.
We also really appreciate all the sweet treats and gifts your children shared with us for teacher appreciation week. Parents, students, PTA, and administration went above and beyond to show us how appreciated we are, and we are very grateful.
We have a lot of fun coming up beginning this week and continuing through next week. On May 15th, students who completed the magic show challenge will have the opportunity to watch a magic show performed in the mini-auditorium. PTA is hosting a 6th grade dance on May 17th. On May 22nd, we will have our team field trip to LPOA. Permission slips will go home tomorrow. Lastly, on May 24th, we will have our annual CatFest with bounce houses, food, games, and fun.
With all the fun, it can be easy to lose sight of the academics. Please continue to encourage your child to complete and turn in work. Also, remember to regularly check your child's grades in HAC to be sure he/she is staying on track.
Have a great week, everyone!

I hope you all had an amazing Mother’s Day weekend and shared a few special moments with your student interviewing you to learn more about you when you were younger. This week we are watching Clash of the Titans in class. Students are expected to watch, listen and be able to answer questions each day.

A note about teaming: Our students are teamed with their four core subjects, English, Math, Science, and Social Studies, whenever possible. Teams allow us to create a school within a school environment for our students, making our large campus feel smaller. Reading and electives are cross teamed to allow us to meet the vast needs of our students, as well as to allow more social interactions with other students. All of our core departments work closely together to ensure students receive quality instruction regardless of their team.
