HAPPY MONDAY!!
May 20, 2024
Happy Monday, one last time! With just 8 days of school remaining, our time is about up! Kids have things they're working on in their content classes this week that WILL be part of their 4th 9 weeks grade. Please make sure they are present each day!
There is one last try out happening Wednesday, May 22 for cross country. If your child is interested in being a part of this in 7th grade, please make sure they get their physical (forms can be picked up by the students in our office) and that they email Coach Brown at brownd@nlrsd.org.
We want to thank each of you for the many ways you have supported your student this year. We APPRECIATE you! THANK YOU! It has been our pleasure to work with you and your kids. We expect to hear great things about them in the future. Don't forget us! Keep us updated on all of their achievements. Have a GREAT and well earned SUMMER everyone!

Want to stay up to date on grades?
We highly encourage parents to make a habit out of checking the Home Access Center weekly. Students are required to do this weekly but, if parents do this, too, home and school are on the same page and no one gets a "surprise" at interim or at the end of a 9 weeks. GradeWay is an app that communicates with HAC. A number of parents in recent years have begun downloading this app to their phones and/or tablets, and have found it to be both an easy and convenient way to keep up with their child's grades, missing assignments, and to email teachers with questions or concerns. You may find this a useful tool, as well.

A note about teaming: Our students are teamed with their four core subjects, English, Math, Science, and Social Studies, whenever possible. Teams allow us to create a school within a school environment for our students, making our large campus feel smaller. Reading and electives are cross teamed to allow us to meet the vast needs of our students, as well as to allow more social interactions with other students. All of our core departments work closely together to ensure students receive quality instruction regardless of their team.
