Tillamook Bay Community College offers a variety of degree and certificate programs you can begin working on while in high school.  Take advantage of NKN's dual credit program and save yourself a lot of time and money!  TBCC's Degree programs can be seen here.  Contact the school counselor to create a plan!


Oregon Transfer Module (OTM)

The Oregon Transfer Module provides a one-year curriculum for students who plan to transfer to a state of Oregon two-year or four-year college/university of higher education. The module allows students to complete one year of general education foundation course work (45 credits) that will meet the admission standards of our Oregon public universities. Completion of the OTM qualifies the student for sophomore standing at an Oregon Public University.

General Requirements

· Complete a minimum of 45 credit hours.

· All courses must be completed with a grade of C- or higher.

Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 at the time the OTM is awarded.
Foundational Skills
Oral Communication: One course of fundamentals of speech or communication
Can be met by Public Speaking: (TBCC Dual Credit Comm111, 4 credits)
Writing: Two courses of college level composition
Can be met by: English Composition 121 & Technical & Professional Writing (TBCC Dual Credi WR 121/227, 8 credits)
Mathematics: One course of college-level math, for which intermediate Algebra is a pre-requisite
Can be met by Applied Math (TBCC Credit MTH 105, 4 credits) or  Pre-Calculus B: (TBCC Credit Math111, 4 credits)

Introduction to Disciplines
Arts and Letters: 3 Courses
Can be met by Art: (TBCC Credit ART115, 3 credits),  Music Cultures of the World (MUS 108, 3 credits) and  Photography (TBCC Credit ART 140, 3 credits)  Intro to Literature Fiction/Drama (TBCC credit ENG 104, 105, 4 cr ea) or  another class from TBCC
Social Sciences: 3 Courses
Can be met by taking any 3 of the following courses:  US History A/B (TBCC Credit HST202/203, 8 credits) Psychology (TBCC credit PSY 201, 202, 4 credits each), Government (TBCC Credit PS 106, 4 credits) Economics (TBCC Credit EC202, 4 credits)  Ethics (TBCC credit PHL 202, 4 credits) or another class from TBCC
Science/Math/Computer: 3 Courses including at least one biological or physical sci. with a lab
Can be met by Pre-Calculus C (TBCC Credit MTH 112, 4 credits), Geology (TBCC Credit GS 106, 4 credits),
Marine Science (TBCC Credit GS108, 4 credits), Environmental Science  ((TBCC Credit ESR 171, 4 cr), Forestry (TBCC Credit FOR 111, 4 cr) or AP Biology (TBCC Credit BI 101, 102, 103, 4 cr each) or another class from TBCC or scores of 3 or higher on selected AP exams.
Electives: As required to bring the total credits to 45. Courses must be from Arts & Letters, Social Science, or Science/Math/Computer Science areas.
