Elementary Teachers and Special Education Teachers ...This training examines the progression of standards to develop fraction sense as well as shares 5 recommendations intended to help teachers improve students’ understanding of fractions. It includes examples of strategies for building a conceptual foundation through operations with fractions.

Up to 11  hours of PD/EILA

Elementary Teachers & Special Education Teachers will: gain knowledge into progressions within the  KY Academic Standards for Mathematics, articulate four components of fluency, learn various strategies for multiplication/division that support students in developing procedural fluency from conceptual understanding, identify gaps and misconceptions in student thinking, connect High Leverage Practices for Special Education with the teaching of multiplication and division.

Up to 12  hours of PD/EILA

MS Math Teachers and MS/HS Special Education Teachers ...This training examines the progression of standards to develop algebraic thinking.  Each page is independent of the other pages on the google site for you to individualize your learning path. Choose from: Domains-Standards-Progressions,  CSA, & SDI, Working with Integers, Writing and Simplifying Expressions, Solving Equations & The Meaning of Symbols, Making sense of Functions, and resources for coaching & DESMOS .

*1 hour of PD/EILA

K-12 Math  Teachers...This training is an overview of Number Talks across all grade bands in a face-to-face setting as well as virtual.  A  Google slide deck is used to facilitate a virtual Number Talks with interactive, draggable icons for students to use as the teacher captures student thinking on screen. 

*1 hour of PD/EILA

Elementary Teachers...This training shares a multitude of Virtual Manipulatives and Google Slides to give teachers the resources and skills to embed virtual manipulatives into their lessons. 

*1 hour of PD/EILA

MS/HS Teachers...This training shares a multitude of Virtual Manipulatives and Google Slides to give teachers the resources and skills to embed virtual manipulatives into their lessons. 


*3 hours of PD/EILA

This training integrates effective practices, strategies, and SDI with effective co-teaching models as it defines the primary roles and responsibilities for both the general education and special education teacher.
