This module is appropriate for special education teachers, guidance counselors, administrators, and educators who are interested in learning how to set up and share Forms in order to collect and analyze behavior data for a variety of purposes. We will explore how to collect behavior data in an accurate, efficient, collaborative manner by using Google Forms and Sheets! Presented by Misti Carr.

In this session, learn about WHY challenging behaviors occur, evidence-based interventions to help de-escalate in moments of crisis, and how you can support appropriate behaviors. You'll also learn some strategies for managing your own stress and frustration.

Explore the amazing tools created by the University of Florida Literacy Institute for increasing student engagement in both virtual and in-person instruction! See how to create and customize these tools to meet your students' unique learning needs.

Learn about the power of choice as an evidence-based intervention! Explore the forms of choice we can offer, as well as the steps for offering choices effectively. Develop tools for offering choices, and investigate how to offer choice as a method for de-escalation. This training is great for new teachers!

2 hours of PD/EILA

This training includes 26 strategies teachers can use in face-to-face and online instruction to support students - the training design features a series of “trading cards” of each intervention that teachers can place on a ring for quick reference. It also includes a sorting activity that PLCs and teaching teams can use to analyze interventions for use with students in Tiers 1, 2, and 3. Note: these strategies can be helpful to share with parents also!

This provides an overview of Universal Behavior Screening and a more specific look at the Student Risk Screening Scale - Internalizing/Externalizing Edition (SRSS-IE) as a tool to conduct Universal Behavior Screening.
