This Insight talk introduces the career development programmes available through the NIHR Academy - with a particular focus towards funding support for those using Data Science tools and methods for health and care research.

Chris and Kieran cover the range of opportunities across all career stages, clinical and non-clinical and the talk is suitable for quantitative researchers from non-NIHR backgrounds who are considering research in these areas.

Part of the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), the NIHR Academy attracts, trains and supports health and care researchers at all stages of their careers, from predoctoral through to chair. A wide range of funding opportunities are available comprising personal fellowship awards, shorter training and development support as well as opportunities funded at the institutional level, including through NIHR infrastructure centres, NIHR Schools and wider NIHR capacity building structures.
