SWAIH is a community that developed in late 2022 as a direct response to the release of the Goldacre review, Data Saves Lives and the creation of new regional Secure Data Environments for the NHS.
SWAIH will share and promote existing resources and training across the South West, as well as listen to the needs of the region, to deliver targeted events and develop novel resources and training to help develop the South West as a leading region in the UK for the use of healthcare data for research.
SWAIH is generously funded and supported by the Applied Research Collaboration South West Peninsula (PenARC), Exeter's Biomedical Research Centre, HDR UK and the Great Western Secure Data Environment.
SWAIH is led by a steering group that aims to represent the region's healthcare data community - please get in touch if you feel that your voice isn't represented here.
Please contact SWAIH's Programme Manager, Chrissie Walker, via SWAIH@exeter.ac.uk with any questions.
