HIS-UK
Condoms are the most effective method to reduce the risk of secually transmitted infections (STIs) as long as they are used consistently and correctly.
Negative attitueds. fit-and-feel problems, application issues, decreased sexual pleasure, and erection difficulties all reduce the liklihood of condoms being used.
The HIS-UK programme has been designed to help make condom use more enjoyable and tackle some of the reasons for non-use.
575 men were fully recruited to the study. 61% recieved the HIS-UK programme delivered by either a health professional, or digitally. the remainder recieved NHS care.
189 men completed all follow-up activities to 6 months (33%). 113 HIS-UK and 76 usual NHS care participants.
