LEH Team Advance to the Finals of the Nursing Time Awards!

We are excited to share incredible news with all of you! Our esteemed LEH Primary Care Research Team has achieved a momentous milestone as finalists in the prestigious Nursing Times Awards, specifically in the "Clinical Research" category. This recognition highlights our ground-breaking work in advancing medical knowledge and patient care.

The Nursing Times Awards is a true testament to our team's dedication, hard work, and commitment to making a meaningful impact in the healthcare community. Being named finalists among numerous outstanding teams is a true honour and speaks volumes about the exceptional talent and expertise we have right here within out team.

During the presentation, we'll emphasise our strong spirit of collaboration, thanks to the seamless cooperation and support from our incredible research champions. Their expertise in different specialties, from GP's to admins, has been vital to our success.

We take immense pride in being a nurse-led initiative, with our clinical nurse specialist, Leanne Durdle, leading the charge in creating the Data Processing Agreement (DPA). Leanne's incredible work has eased tasks for surgeries, involving the public in clinical research and improving patient outcomes.

Expanding research in  under deserved communities is another critical aspect aspect we'll highlight. Breaking barriers and making a positive impact in overlooked areas is our goal.

We extend special thanks to our lead research nurse and pillar of strength, Tracey Camburn, whose answering dedication pushed us to participate and significantly increased our chance of winning.

Congratulations to the whole team on this remarkable achievement! Let's look forward to the presentation with excitement and pride, hoping to bring home the Nursing Times Awards and celebrate this moment in our journey.
