About the Instructional Innovation & Technology Council
The vision of the IITC is to promote state-of-the-art and research-driven pedagogical practices and educational technologies at NICC. Through this vision, we strive to empower NICC faculty and staff to be creative leaders in course design, teaching and learning, and student support.
Through a collaborative environment, the committee aims to:
leverage the expertise of our most innovative faculty and staff to spark creativity in their colleagues around the college.
develop and share pedagogically-sound teaching practices that enhance student engagement and interaction by utilizing the latest technology.
plan, implement, assess, and share technology-enhanced teaching and student service projects.
highlight faculty who design course elements that meet or exceed DIID’s Quality Course Design Standards and staff who support students in innovative ways.
provide a low stakes environment for faculty and staff to experiment with new pedagogical practices and educational technologies.
Provide pieces of training on new and emerging pedagogical and instructional technology trends.
