2018 nacogdoches isd bond project updates

Voters in Nacogdoches ISD overwhelmingly approved the November 2018 bond package by more than 4,400 votes. On Nov. 6, 2018, election returns showed 8,533 votes in favor of the $77.9 million proposal. The resounding support from NISD voters kicked into motion a number of projects that are now in various stages of completion, or are finished outright.

A number of projects have been completed, including the new Emeline Carpenter Elementary (shown above), the Transportation Center, Malcolm Rector Center for Advanced Careers and Innovation, and McMichael Middle School expansion.

Nacogdoches ISD remains grateful to voter support for these projects. Because of community support, the face of NISD will be changed for the next generation.
