Work underway on mike Moses conversion

Renovation of the Mike Moses campus started two weeks ago to convert the facility to an elementary school for grades K-5 beginning in August 2022. The $2.2 million project was approved by the NISD Board of Trustees in December 2021. The renovation is part of the bond package approved by NISD voters in November 2018.

Bids approved for mike moses conversion

NISD's Board of Trustees approved a bid from TCMC Commercial on Dec. 16, 2021, for $2,202,077 for the conversion of Mike Moses Middle School to an elementary campus. The project is funded by the bond package approved by NISD voters in November 2018. Work will begin on the conversion at the end of May, once the spring semester is completed, and will be finished before classes begin in August 2022.

A bid for construction funded by a 2018 bond election was accepted Jan. 21 by Nacogdoches ISD trustees.


The board unanimously approved awarding to Cox Contractors the project that will replace HVAC systems at Mike Moses Middle School. The total project cost for the HVAC and roof replacement is $1,359,295 and will come from bond funds approved by voters in November 2018.
