A semester course designed to help students develop knowledge in color the formal elements and principles of Art. Colored pencil, collage, ceramics and tempera paint are among the media explored. Students will also have a grasp of basic Art Movements in history. Participation is graded during periodic critiques of student work. This class emphasizes craftsmanship! Success in this class does not rely on talent but rather effort and craftsmanship skills. FEE: $10 per semester

Beginning Sculpture ART141

A semester course which explores the fundamentals of sculpture. The class will begin with the history of sculpture and allow students to better understand sculptures many purposes. The majority of the class is dedicated to beginning sculpture and learning to work with clay as well as pottery construction. Students are required to participate in critiques of student work. FEE: $10 per semester

Intermediate Art ART231-232

This semester course is designed to further develop the skills gained in Beginning Art. Students will be introduced to new media, such as acrylic paints, recyclable art, pastels, watercolor, ceramics and collage. Students are required to participate in critiques of student work. FEE: $10 per sem.

Advanced Art ART311-312

Prerequisite: Completion of Intermediate Art Repeatable: No

This semester course is designed to further develop the skills gained in Intermediate Art. A greater variety of media are explored and assignments give more freedom to student when choosing subject matter and content of art work. Students are required to participate in critiques of student work. May be repeated with permission of the instructor. Students repeating the course will develop an art project contract. FEE: $10 per semester

Independent Art ART411-412

This class is for the student who is interested in developing an advanced portfolio that meets the Advanced Placement requirements. Students will have the opportunity to work independently to develop their own area of concentration. FEE: $10 per semester

Digital Art I ART131

A semester course which allows students to learn about vector art while using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign. Students will learn how to draw on the computer using vector software and create interesting compositions for advertising. The elements and principles of design will be used in all lessons. Students will need to read and follow the necessary steps to learning both software programs.

Digital Art II ART132

A semester course which allows students to have a more advanced understanding of Adobe Illustrator as well as Adobe InDesign. Students will use their own creativity to create organized advertisement as well as logos for projects. Students will be introduced to iMovie as well as Adobe Animate and create short animated clips. Students will need to read and follow the necessary steps to learning the software programs. FEE: $5 per semester

Art Photoshop I ART151

A semester course which will teach students how to edit photographs in Adobe Photoshop as well as Adobe Lightroom. Students will utilize pictures they have taken and perfect the images using these post process softwares. Students will learn the basic tools in both software programs.
