Traveling the World through Friendship Learning Center

Hello,

My name is Karen Kollmann and I am very excited to start my first full year at Oriole Nation!! I was born and raised in Fond du Lac graduating from St. Mary’s Springs Academy. I went on to graduate from Carlson Academy as a certified travel consultant. After 29 years and continuing, I have looked to further myself and use my experience of a special needs mother in assisting other special needs children to help them find their independence. I am a proud mother of my son Kevin. Kevin was a member of Oriole Nation while at Friendship Learning Center. He is now currently entering his Sophomore year of college at UW Oshkosh.

I have been involved with two nonprofit organizations for our local special needs. I have been a co-chair for Fond du Lac’s Dream Catcher’s for the past 13 years and a board member working with Fond du Lac’s Fishing Has No Boundaries for the past five years, although volunteering for eight years prior to that.

While not at school or with my travel consultant hat on, I enjoy being with my family and friends!! Some of the things I like to do when not working would be watching the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and local hockey games. Along with my love to travel, I am also an avid hunter, fisherwomen and enjoy spearing sturgeon, piercing four … so far!! Not to forget, checking off my bucket list, catching a blue marlin off the coast of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Have a great year and we’ll see you all soon throughout the continents!!
