Missy Hunter: Literacy Coach/Academic Success Coordinator: I have experience teaching many different grade levels, but primarily fourth and sixth grade. I work closely with the intervention team to ensure that all students are successful. I manage intervention groups, work with data, and provide coaching for teachers and Reading Corps tutors. Currently, I also support teachers at WLC. I love to read and I'm passionate about getting books into every child's hands.

Jean Jore: Title 1 Teacher: I started my teaching career in 1986 teaching second grade for several years in St. James, MN. After taking a few years off to be home with my young children, I returned to the classroom in 1993 at Jefferson School (The same school I attended as a child!) teaching first grade. I taught first grade for eight years and kindergarten for eleven years before joining the Title program in 2012. When not in school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, children, and grandchildren.

Amy Maudal: Title 1 Teacher: I have been a teacher for over 30 years. During this time I have taught pre-school, kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades, and am currently teaching Title One. The majority of my years in teaching have been in New Ulm. I enjoy running, reading, baking and coffee:) My husband Kevin and I have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. We love spending time with our family and traveling together making memories.

Katie Schmiesing: I have been teaching for 17 years. I started my career in Sleepy Eye as a 4th grade teacher and a few years later joined the Jefferson team in New Ulm as a 2nd grade teacher. I'm excited to be part of the Title 1 team! I enjoy playing tennis, reading, and biking. My husband Andy and I have 2 daughters. We enjoy spending time with our family and watching our girls play softball.

Shelly Schuck: Title 1 Paraprofessional: Since joining New Ulm Public Schools I have had the privilege of working with students of ages 1- 21. I am currently working with the Title Program at Jefferson. I enjoy helping young readers achieve their goals. I work ECFE on Monday nights. I love my family, sunshine, flowers, bike rides and drawing.
Rebecca Eikanger: Title 1 Paraprofessional: I started teaching in 1991 for Omaha Public Schools and taught for 10 years there in grades 5, 6 and English as a Second Language. When my family moved to Wisconsin, I stayed at home with my three children. Our move to Minnesota brought a new teaching experience for me as Director of Children's Ministries at Our Savior's Lutheran church for 6 years. I then became a substitute teacher for Jefferson for the past 5+ years. An opportunity to be a part of the Title One team opened up, and I'm excited to be a support for this amazing program. I've been married to Jeff for 25 years in September. My daughter, Morgan, is 23 and a phd student at the University of South Dakota, Vermillion; my son, Aaron, is also an undergrad student at USD studying to be a Physical Therapist; my daughter, Kaelyn, is a senior at New Ulm High School.
Amanda Hoffmann: I started my career as a preschool teacher in the twin cities area. During my time at Jefferson, I have worked as a Minnesota Reading Corps tutor and as a Title 1 interventionist. I enjoy biking, reading, and working on puzzles.
Ally Johnson: School Counselor: My name is Ally Johnson and I am the School Counselor here at Jefferson Elementary. I graduated from MSU, Mankato with my Bachelors of Science in Psychology. I then graduated from Walden University in November 202 with my Masters in School Counseling. My job at Jefferson is to talk with students about many different things including friendships, feelings, and coping skills, to name a few. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and pets, play games with my family, and play piano.

Casey McMullen: Behavior Interventionist: I am a Licensed Social Worker and Licensed School Social Worker with more than ten years of experience working with behaviors in schools. I have Level Four Behavioral Learning Center experience and am certified as a Boys Town Consultant. I am also the district's CPI trainer.
