The Saskatchewan First Nation Spelling Bee is pleased to announce that we will once again be holding our event on Friday, March 17, 2023, at ED Feehan High School in Saskatoon. The Spelling Bee was first presented in 2015 in conjunction with the Spelling Bee of Canada (SBOC). The event has three categories including primary (ages 6-8 years old; born 2014-2016), junior (ages 9-11 years old; born 2011-13) and intermediate (ages 12-14 years old; born 2008-2010).
The benefits of attending the Saskatchewan First Nation Spelling Bee are numerous, including literacy (vocabulary, reading and writing), study skills, public speaking skills, parental involvement, opportunity to travel both provincially and nationally and also contributes to greater self-confidence and self-esteem.
