Selena Parez was born on April 16th 1971, in Lake Jackson Texas. Her mom's name is Marcella, and her dad's name is Abraham the II. She has two siblings, her older brothers name is Abraham the III also known as A.B. And her older sisters name is Suzette. When Selena was a kid, she played in a band with A.B. And Suzette. The family band played at a fair and got 200 dollars. At age ten Selena entered a local talent show called Star Mania, and won 7 weeks in a row. At age 12, the family band recorded their first record. It was called Selena y los dinos. The song that Selena sang (La Bamba) made it's way up to the top 20 on the billboard. At age 14 Selena was nominated for female vocalist of the year at the 1986 Tejano music awards. When Selena was 17, Selena won female entertainer of the year at the Tejano music awards. When Selena was 18 , she had her first solo album. Amour prohibido became one of her biggest albums, "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom" was a smash hit, it sold over 4 million copies! Selena got married to Chris Parez on April 2nd 1992. In November 1993 Selena's biggest dream came true.  Selena y los dinos signed an english language record deal. Sadly Selena died on March 31st 1995. Selena was shot by Yolanda.
