Michael Phelps was born on June 30th, 1985 in Maryland. He was 7 years old when he started swimming. In 2000, Michael competed in his first Olympics. In total, Michael has 23 gold medals and has broken many world records. Michael got married on June 16, 2016.  He has 3 sons. In 2016, he retired from professional swimming. Today Michael is 39 years old and hopes to be remembered for being an olympic swimmer.
