Prerequisite:   Active Lifestyles 1 or 2, or permission of department chair.

Content:  This course is designed for highly motivated students who want to improve their physical fitness through the medium of strength and cardiovascular training. Personal programs will be designed based on each individual’s fitness assessment and goals. Strength Training- This activity introduces basic muscular strength and endurance components with emphasis on improvement, safety, and proper techniques. Core lifts, plyometrics, and various strength activities to improve individual performance and health. Cardiovascular Training 2 - Life fitness equipment and various cardiovascular activities to improve the anaerobic and aerobic levels for each individual.

Students will also partake in fitness testing and health-related components related to assessing their personal health and attaining the goal of living a physically active lifestyle into adulthood.
