Course Content: This is a laboratory-centered course that uses the molecular approach to study living things. The major biological concepts are viewed in terms of their impact upon man and his environment. Topics of study include scientific inquiry, theories of evolution, characteristics of living things, cell energy, photosynthesis, cell respiration, DNA, cell theory, reproduction, development of living things, genetics, life processes, and life systems.
