Wednesday, June 11 - First day for students - Meet at Reyniers Life Bldg. (next to NDFCU)
9:00 Opening meeting - general introduction of personnel, overview of summer schedule, overview of rest of first week by Dr. Patrick Mooney
10:00 - 12:00 - Students begin visiting research projects - see rotation schedule
11:30 - Lunch provided
1:00 - 2:00 -Dan Ruggiero goes through Lab Safety training
2:00 - 2:30 - Selfie photos of REHS and new RETs for bulletin board - head shot, please - send to mzakas@nd.edu (that's Anne Zakas)
Thursday, June 12 - student project rotations
7:45 - Arrive at Reyniers to walk down to campus together
8:00 - 12:00 - Project rotations; after all rotations are done, enter your project preferences
12:30 - Bring brown bag lunch - Radiation Safety training - T.J. Whittenhall
1:00 - 1:15 - receive research assignment and meet with research group; fill out time sheet for Wednesday and Thursday. Make sure you have the right dates: June 11 (9am-2:30pm) and June 12 (7:45am-1:15pm).
Friday, June 13 - first full day of research
Students start at 7:30 am (and work until 1:00 pm) or 9:00 (and work until 2:30 pm) depending on the project; bring a lunch to eat, lecture provided ;-) in Room 184 Nieuwland Science Hall. Teachers will help you to find this location.
There is one project that starts at noon and goes till 5:30. If those hours are better for you, let Pat Mooney know.
Fill out your Google time sheet for Friday (your paid time should be 5.5 hours each day)
Friday, June 27 -Trip to Fermilab - all day - (details forthcoming)
July 4 - HOLIDAY (no work)
TBA - Campus tour - Big picnic at Reyniers
July 25 - Last Day! Symposium - teachers will give PowerPoint presentations in the morning and students will present posters during the lunch hour - parents and siblings are invited to lunch and poster session
