After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in geology and science education from Purdue University, I have been a public school science teacher since the mid 1990s and have taught in schools in Arizona and Indiana. My teaching subject areas are earth/space science, astronomy, and physics, and I have been a science teacher at Bremen High School in Northern Indiana since 2005. I also participate in the summer QuarkNet program at the University of Notre Dame. I have been an amateur astronomer and telescope user since the mid-1980s, and belong to a local astronomy club. I recently obtained a Master of Arts degree in physics education from Western Governors University. I am also a Wikipedia editor under the username CusterDome.
