“And as we look ahead, I ask you to continue to be agents of hope. Helping our students see the world as it is, in all its pain and struggle, as well as all its beauty and wonder. Encouraging them to visualize how the world may become better. And together with them, cooperating with God’s grace to bring about that better world we envision. That’s how we will be the Notre Dame the world needs.”
Rev. Robert A. Dowd, C.S.C.
President, University of Notre Dame
Every 10 years, the University engages in a strategic planning process aimed at charting a course for the future rooted in our mission to be the leading global Catholic research university.
Initial funding from the Cavanaugh Council and President’s Circle supported research and reflection across the University that resulted in Notre Dame’s Strategic Framework for 2033, presented to the Notre Dame community in August 2023.
This year, generous gifts from the Cavanaugh Council and President’s Circle now advance the final three strategic initiatives: the Arts Initiative, the Global Catholic Research Initiative, and the AI Initiative’s curriculum and research programs.
