I discovered how to use technologies such as Excel and Canva during my internship at BASF and through classes at college. Mastering Excel enabled me to streamline data analysis, create comprehensive reports that guided strategic decision-making at BASF, and showcase the practical application of my skills. Learning Canva amplified my creative prowess, allowing me to craft visually appealing presentations and marketing materials that garnered positive attention and engagement. Another event that encouraged and excited me about choosing my major was the MBA Food Conn 2023 Cultivating the Future. It was stimulating to interact with other students, business leaders, and industry experts and discuss meeting the nutritional needs of an ever-growing global population. I attended interesting panels and presentations that increased my understanding of the sustainable food industry and innovative projects such as lab-grown protein, breast milk, and collagen. I was particularly interested in sustainable soil and technology solutions. I have heard agriculture referred to as “the biggest job on earth.” Advancements in technology and innovative farming practices are revolutionizing how we produce food, promising a brighter and more sustainable future. From vertical farming and hydroponics to precision agriculture and genetic engineering, these cutting-edge techniques maximize crop yields while minimizing environmental impact.
