Career Readiness Competencies

According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers, eight career readiness competencies prepare a college graduate to enter the workforce with skills necessary for success. By seeking and embracing high impact activities during my time at NC State University, I appreciate the foundation that was formed to launch my career. My academic, co-curricular, and extracurricular experiences (artifacts) have helped me to develop the skills listed above so that I can be an accomplished contributor in the field of agriculture and business. 

Artifacts: 1) Public Speaking Class/Presentation (University of Copenhagen), 2) Research/Presentation on the California Potato Beetle (Plant and Animal Interactions class), 3) Risk Manager, Delta Kappa Epsilon (DKE), 4) Captain of Intramural Soccer Team (DKE), 5) Physical Therapy Aide, Wake Medical Center Main Campus, 6) Commercial Excellence Intern at BASF (including creation of Commercial Excellence Newsletter and PowerPoint presentation about improving the customer experience, 7) Critical and Creative Thinking in Life Sciences class, 8) Human Anatomy and Physiology (Bio 240 and Bio 245), 9) Study abroad at University of Copenhagen in Fall 2023/Travel to other countries, 10) Volunteer at Building Connections, Inc., 11) Attended the MBA FoodCon 2023 Cultivating the Future
