Internship at BASF, Research Triangle Park
Physical Therapy Aide, Wake Medical Center (Main Hospital Campus)
I developed stronger professional skills during my internship. I was conscientious about representing myself and the organization in a positive way. Being dependable is important to me so I worked hard to meet deadlines, accomplish assigned tasks and fulfill expectations. I was excited to be working at a company in the agricultural field and making connections with other professionals proved to be very valuable.
It takes a unique set of professional skills to work in a healthcare setting. When interacting with patients who have injuries, disabilities, or other health conditions, one must be mindful of all the mental and physical aspects involved. I, no doubt, learned to be more sensitive and concerned about the best way to help patients feel better and move toward their goals.
