Resources for reinforcement at home:
Math Facts - addition to 10:
It is expected by week 6 that students can answer addition facts to ten in less than 3 seconds. Your support at home is so helpful for your child to master these skills. We will be moving on to subtraction during the week of 9/29, so knowing the math addition facts to 10 is very much needed.
Please see the link below for flashcards to use for practice:

Note: If your child is having trouble with the above, please use the resources below.
Ten frame flashcards:
Show a card to your child and have them tell you the number of dots. Then ask how many more dots are needed to make ( a number higher than what is shown - up to ten) Example: Show your child the card with 2 dots and have him tell you the number. Then, ask your child to tell you how many more dots are needed to make 4, 5, 6, 7, etc.
Number cards - Use the cards up to 10 until your child has mastered these before moving on to 20.

Mix up the cards and have your child put them in the correct order. Have your child match the number cards with the 10-frame cards. Choose a card and have your child identify the number and count on from there / count back. See the following for more activities to use with these cards Math Games with Numbers to 10 - Google Docs
