Hello! My name is Allison Priest, and it is my pleasure to teach your first grader this year. I moved to Fort Collins from Rochester, NY in August 2022. I love being able to see the beautiful mountains here! I have one 19-year-old son, and we love taking walks together and being out in nature. I have worn various hats in my professional endeavors which include special education, academic advising, healthcare, and English as a second language. This is my third year teaching first grade at Ascent. I just love the enthusiasm and wonder of our little ones!
I am looking forward to fostering wonder in the minds of our students as we build a solid foundation in math, history, science and literacy. I can't wait to get started as we learn the true, do the good and love the beautiful!
With gratitude,
Ms. Priest

Hello 1st grade families! It is an honor to serve Ms. Priest and your children this year as a teaching assistant at Ascent!
I grew up in a large family in rural Michigan. My studies took me to Pensacola Christian College where I graduated with my Undergraduate and Masters degrees in Art and English.
When I am not at school, you’ll most likely find me at my home in Windsor, or on the baseball field with my husband and three sons. A few of my interests include home decorating, music, baking, reading, and just doing life with family and friends.
Over the past 5 years, I have enjoyed many roles at Ascent, including parent volunteer, substitute teacher, and teaching assistant.
This year as a TA I look forward to interacting with your first grader on a daily basis. Training the minds and hearts of this next generation is not something I take lightly. It is a privilege and great responsibility to partner with you in teaching them the good, the true and the beautiful. I am looking forward to a great year of learning together!
Mrs. Emerson will be with us every Monday.
