Literacy; (Following the Literacy Essentials program out of Hillsdale College) -phonograms // spelling rules // writing sentences // reading partners // students reading to adult each night for fluency, accuracy and comprehension. Reading List A was sent home on Friday 10/31 for daily practice until students can read the word list accurately in one minute. 

Math: We will continue adding and subtracting numbers within 20. It is expected that students are automatic with addition and subtraction within 10. Please find flashcards on the Math Support page for practice at home with basic addition and subtraction. 

Discovery Studies:

History:  We will begin Three World Religions: Judaism

Science: Light and Sound

Literature: Pinocchio & The Adventures of Edward Tulane in addition to poetry including: The Marching Song, The Swing, Rope Rhyme, and Solomon Grundy, Thanksgiving, etc.
