To encourage and assist the saving of private funds to help persons with disabilities cover costs that support their health, independence and quality of life. Table will have information for families.

Agency for Persons with Disabilities

The Agency for Persons with Disabilities Supports Persons with Developmental Disabilities in Living, Learning, and Working in their Communities. APD works in partnership with local communities and private providers to assist people who have developmental disabilities and their families. APD provides assistance in identifying the needs of people with developmental disabilities for supports and services and offers a wide range of social, medical, residential, and behavioral services. Services provided are based on need and coverage criteria, so not all individuals receive all services. The agency serves more than 50,000 Floridians with the following disabilities:

· Cerebral palsy

· Spina bifida

· Intellectual disabilities

· Down syndrome

· Prader-Willi syndrome

· Phelan-McDermid syndrome

· Children age 3-5 who are at a high risk of a developmental disability

ASD Adult Achievement Center

We provide an environment where adults with ASD can come together to develop skills, strategies and solutions that promote greater achievement and independence.

Autism Speaks

Autism Speaks is dedicated to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the life span, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families. We do this through advocacy and support; increasing understanding and acceptance of people with autism, and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions.

Benefits Planning, Inc.

We provide counseling to those already receiving Social Security, which involves letting clients know how much work they can do before benefits are affected. We can also assist with the age 18 re-determination process, and answer questions on how to apply for benefits at any age.

Best Buddies

Best Buddies International is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, and inclusive living for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Bright Feats Directory

Bright Feats helps families with individuals with special needs. We help parents and individuals locate medical, educational and community resources. We partner with local public schools to make our directory publication available to students. With our VIPworks program we hire interns and employees to manage our database, design graphics for our publications, manage our website and make social posts for community providers. Building Pathways

A safe place where teens and adults with unique abilities are provided with structure and support while being trained in the fields of their interest. We have Summer Camps 11yo+

Social Skill Classes 11yo+ -Tuesdays 4-6pm and Saturdays 9-12pm

Day Programs 16yo+ - Various schedule options

We are in Winter Garden.

We provide life skills training, social skills training, and job skills training in a real home setting.

Center For Independent Living

Center for Independent Living in Central Florida, Inc (CIL), in partnership with the community, promotes inclusion of people with disabilities by eliminating architectural, communication and attitudinal barriers. CIL provides education, resources and training to enhance self-determination through informed choice, serving 7 counties. CIL works to help people with disabilities in our community identify and meet their personal goals for independence. ​

Columbus Organization/Support Associates

Columbus Organization is a National Company providing Care Coordination and supports to people with developmental Disabilities in 6 other states as well as Florida. We provide Support Coordination, under the ibudget Home and Community Based Waiver. We believe individuals with developmental disabilities should be valued and given the same opportunities to reach their potential as those without disabilities. Conductive Education Center of Orlando

Conductive Education Center of Orlando (CECO) offers a unique teaching method which focuses on the development of cognitive, physical and social skills, for those of all ages with motor disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy, in order to gain greater independence and a better quality of life.

Easterseals Florida-Camp Challenge

Camp Challenge is a 61 acre fully accessible camp for children as young as 6 to all the way into adulthood. Camp challenge is equipped with air conditioned cabins, restrooms and showers in each cabin, and a laundry facility. We are a fully accessible facility that include, a swimming pool, basketball court & soccer field, campfire circle, outdoor pavilion, paved nature trails, animal farm, air soft target range and a universal high and low ropes course complete with wall climbing and zipline.

EmployU, Inc

employU provides career exploration services to school age youth between the ages of 14-21 that have an IEP or 504 Plan. All participants must be registered with Vocational Rehabilitation in order to be referred for services.

Students are able to choose the services that make the most sense for them in support of career exploration activities. Services include:

Vocational Evaluations: work with a professional to match up careers based on your interests and aptitudes.

Work Readiness Training: take part in a 20 hour class to help create a resume, a professional email address and voice mail, and learn how to navigate public transportation, search for jobs, and participate in mock interviews.

Self Advocacy Training- a 20 hour class to help improve communication and problem solving skills.

Work-based Learning Experience- let us match you up with a 4-8 week work experience to gain valuable hands on skills at one of our many host-employers. These are paid work experiences!

Family Network on Disabilities

Family Network on Disabilities (FND) is an grassroots organization for persons ages birth through 26, who have the full range of disabilities, who may be at-risk, or have special needs and their families, professionals, and concerned citizens. The mission of FND is to strive for the complete integration and equality of persons with disabilities in a society without barriers.

Honey's Mini Therapy Adventures

We are a local 501c3 organization with mini therapy horses. We visit local hospitals, schools, nursing homes, behavioral and mental health facilities. Our horses are incredibly gentle in nature and have been specially trained to be inside facilities.

Inspire of Central Florida

Inspire offers like skills and vocational training, to include classes such as problem solving, money management, communication, and safety skills . Through individualized support plans, Inspire's CFS learn the necessary skills to prepare them for competitive employment in the community. They earn paycheck , develop work and social skills and strive to reach their full potential. ​

New Horizons Service Dogs

Our highly-trained service dogs allow clients to continue living a productive and satisfying life by enabling them to function independently. Our mission is to provide quality, trained service dogs to people with disabilities, educate the public and raise awareness regarding the needs and concerns of people with disabilities, and provide ongoing support to the recipient to assure a successful working partnership.

nonPareil Institute

nonPareil is a post-secondary, not-for-profit, innovative program. Through small group courses our students learn industry standard skills. These skills are developed across the technical and soft skills. The program is implemented in a real-world workplace environment where students learn not only the technical skills needed to succeed, but the core workplace readiness and professional skills needed. We teach Digital Art, Level Design, Animation, Programming, 3D Modeling

Project 10

Project 10: Transition Education Network (Project 10) is a state discretionary resource project supported by the Florida Department of Education and the Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services. Project 10 provides information, resources, technical assistance and training relevant to educators, school districts, families and relevant stakeholders to support positive outcomes and growth for secondary-age transition age youth.

SCPS Families in Need (FIN)

SCPS Families in Need (FIN) is an ESSS Student Support Services program serving our school district's most vulnerable student populations. FIN program services take a proactive approach to reducing educational barriers that stand in the way of academic success for students and families who are homeless or economically disadvantaged and our students placed in the foster care system.

Representatives from Seminole State College of Florida will be at the fair to give information about their admissions process and procedures.

Seminole State College of Florida - Adult Education

Adult Education at Seminole State College helps to prepare adults for college and the world of work with practical instruction and plenty of guidance from staff and faculty. We offer the Adult High School and GED Prep programs for students looking to earn their high school diploma. We also have English Language Studies programs to help students improve their level of English.

Special Needs Ability Program, Inc.

Special Needs Ability Program, Inc. (SNAP) provides support and advocacy to individuals with developmental disabilities of all ages, and their families. SNAP host the largest Special Needs Support Group in Central Florida in Historic Downtown Sanford bi-weekly as well as Arbor School in Winter Springs. UCF Center for Autism and Related Disabilities

The UCF-Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD) ucf-card.org, (407) 823-6001, focuses on providing support to children and adults in early intervention, school, community, work, and home settings. We address issues that impact individuals across the life span. Our services are consultative in nature.

Through PALS, Summer Employment Training programs are provided for MS and HS students and CARD is now an approved State Vendor through Vocational Rehabilitation for our clients seeking employment.

Viability Inc.

Viability Inc. is a nonprofit organization providing training, support and placement in meaningful jobs for individuals with physical and cognitive disabilities. Viability partners with Walgreens and other national companies to offer a variety of opportunities to our clients.
