Agency for Persons with Disabilities - Orientation to Agency Application Process and the Home and Community based Waiver

The Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) assists individuals with Developmental Disabilities to live, work and integrate in the community. As a state agency, APD collaborates closely with the Seminole County Schools and Vocational Rehabilitation as well as with key stakeholders and service providers in the community.


SCPS ePathways - Pathways to Careers and Employment

ePathways is customized learning that results in our students being prepared for 21st century globally competitive work. SCPS created ePathways as a symbol of its commitment that high school graduates will leave our district with meaningful diplomas and a clear pathway to high-demand, high-wage employment. SCPS graduates will have both a broad understanding of careers and enough exploration of specific interests to have a clear plan for their future.


Seminole County Bar Legal Aid Society - Guardianship

Seminole County Legal renders FREE legal services to low income families individuals, veterans, disabled and senior

​citizens in Seminole County in family and civil cases. We have been a not for profit law office since 1975 are dedicated to giving our residents competent and experienced legal advice and representation for serious civil and family law disputes including domestic violence, landlord tenant, housing problems, guardianship's and other civil matters.


SCPS Post High School Programs - Project SEARCH and REACH

REACH is a post high school training program for students desiring to become competitively employed. Participants are Seminole County Public School graduates having earned a Special Diploma or Standard Diploma—Access Points and are between the ages of 18—21 with developmental or intellectual disabilities and are on an Individual Education Plan (IEP).

REACH places our students in internships at the a Seminole County business site where they receive intense employment training and hands-on experience under the guidance of a teacher and job coach. The goal is to eventually secure employment.


Seminole State College - Career and Technical Education

Social Security Administration

Since 2001, Don Hendricks has been the manager of the Brevard Achievement Center’s (BAC) involvement with the Social Security Administration (SSA) community-based Work Incentives Planning and Assistance (WIPA) grant.

WIPA projects are community-based organizations that receive grants from SSA to provide all SSDI and SSI disability beneficiaries (including transition-to-work aged youth) with access to work incentives planning and assistance.


UCF - Inclusive Education Services

Inclusive Education Services (IES) at the University of Central Florida offers students with intellectual disabilities an inclusive, comprehensive non-degree seeking academic experience with a vocational focus. IES is designed to be three years in length with some flexibility based on student goals and accomplishments but not to exceed four years. Students who have graduated from and or completed the K-12 education system are eligible for participation.


Vocational Rehabilitation - STAR and VR Transitional Services

VR Transition Youth Services help students train for a job, continue their education, or find a job after high school.
