ABLE United is a tax free savings and investment account program for people with disabilities in Florida. It allows individuals and their families to save for their future needs without losing government benefits. The mission of ABLE United is to encourage and assist the saving of private funds to help persons with disabilities cover costs that support their health, independence and quality of life.


The APD works in partnership with local communities and private providers to assist people who have developmental disabilities and their families. APD also provides assistance in identifying the needs of people with developmental disabilities for supports and services. The agency's mission is: The Agency Supports Persons with Developmental Disabilities in Living, Learning, and Working in their Communities.


​ASD Adult Achievement Center provides structure and support for adults with ASD after high school. Our focused programs help young adults with ASD develop social skills, executive function skills, job readiness skills and independent life skills as they transition into independent life.


Autism Speaks is dedicated to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families through advocacy and support; increasing understanding and acceptance of people with autism spectrum disorder; and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions. Autism Speaks enhances lives today and is accelerating a spectrum of solutions for tomorrow.


Best Buddies® is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).


Bishop Grady Villas is a place where adults with disabilities are able to thrive and achieve their dreams. We support persons with disabilities to use their God-given gifts to achieve greater independence, physical and emotional well-being, and spiritual growth. We empower these individuals from throughout Central Florida to reach their full potential through Christ-centered, personalized and holistic residential, vocational and employment services, and community support.


Bright Feats helps families find the resources they need. We produce a publication and website directory with a list of educational, medical, and special needs resources.


Center for Independent Living in Central Florida, Inc (CIL), in partnership with the community, promotes inclusion of people with disabilities by eliminating architectural, communication and attitudinal barriers. CIL provides education, resources & training to enhance self-determination through informed choice, serving 7 counties. As a place of empowerment for people with disabilities to empower others, CIL stands committed to continue working for full disability inclusion.

Disability Rights Florida is the designated protection and advocacy system for individuals with disabilities in the State of Florida. Disability Rights Florida has authority and responsibility under eight federal grants. Established in 1987, Disability Rights Florida is a statewide, not-for-profit.


DSACF is the leading voice for all individuals with Down syndrome and their families. We offer hope, acceptance and empowerment through advocacy, education and awareness as we guide individuals with Down syndrome through life. Together, we create a Central Florida community composed of and dedicated to individuals with Down syndrome – and those who love them – so that each may realize their potential.

employU is a nonprofit employment service providing job readiness workshops, self advocacy classes and paid on the job training work experiences. Any student between the ages of 14-22 with an IEP or 504 plan qualifies for Vocational Rehabilitation Transition STAR or youth program. Family Network on Disabilities (FND) provides assistance and support to increase student academic achievement across Florida. FND provides these free services to form and foster partnerships between home and school. All services provided by FND are delivered to families in a format that is suitable to their needs and culture by professionals who have a personal understanding of what it’s like to have a disability or a loved one with a disability.


The Federation of Families of Central Florida, Inc. (FFCFL) is a non-profit 501(c)3 family support organization. We are dedicated to supporting families, educating caregivers, reducing stigma within our communities and advocating for children and youth with emotional, behavioral and mental health challenges in Central Florida.​


The Florida Institute for Community Inclusion is a nonprofit organization created by self-advocates and their families. Our mission is to help transition age youth find their purpose and their passion through post-secondary education, summer camp, job training and placement.


The Gliding Stars organization provides individuals with disabilities the opportunity to increase their personal potential through development of ice skating skills in a regular program of instruction and practice culminating in an end-of-season on-ice choreographed performance, which itself serves as a source of motivation, teamwork, increased self-esteem and the “magic” that results from transcending one’s barriers in order to accomplish one’s dreams.


Hands On Education is a Hospitality Training Program dedicated to serving people with disabilities. Hands On partners exclusively with Hyatt Hotels and trains students in all areas of the hospitality industry. Some of those departments include: Culinary, Housekeeping, Convention Set Up, Food & Beverage and Recreation amongst others. Our program is made possible by our partnership with the department of Vocational Rehabilitation and of course by our amazing partners at Hyatt Hotels.

LYNX is a bus system run by the Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority, serving the greater Orlando, Florida area, Orange, Seminole, and Osceola counties with limited service to Polk county.

ACCESS LYNX is a shared ride door-to-door transportation service that provides service for eligible individuals who are not able to use the regular fixed route bus service because of a disability or other limitations. ​


NAMI Greater Orlando is the leading voice on mental health in Central Florida. We are dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals and supporting families affected by mental illness through education, support and advocacy.


Nathaniel's Hope celebrates kids with all types of special needs (VIP kids) as well as educates and equips the community to provide free programs and services to assist the VIP community. Programs include, A VIP Birthday Club, Buddy Break - a monthly parents day out/respite care program, Make 'm Smile - the biggest party celebrating VIP kids and Nathaniel's Toy Shop, providing toys to VIP families in need at Christmas. New Horizons Service Dogs, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that partners fully trained dogs with the disabled, mostly in the area of wheelchair and mobility assistance. We are headquartered in Central Florida, and provide service dogs to disabled clients, children with autism, and disabled veterans, primarily throughout the state of Florida.


Project 10: Transition Education Network is a Florida Department of Education discretionary project that provides support, training, resources, and technical assistance to Florida school districts and relevant stakeholders in the area of secondary transition for students with disabilities. Project 10 focuses its support around the four key transition indicators of graduation rate, dropout rate, transition Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and postschool outcomes.


Quest Inc. supports individuals with developmental disabilities achieve their dreams to live, learn, work and play. We sustain each individual we serve from birth throughout life at all ages and all stages.


Seminole County Public Schools (SCPS) created ePathways as a symbol of its commitment that high school graduates will leave our district with meaningful diplomas and a clear pathway to high-demand, high-wage employment. It is the mission of Transportation Services to provide all students with safe, efficient, and effective transportation to and from school.

Transportation Services transports approximately 32,000 students to and from school daily on 345 established routes. School bus service is provided to approximately 47% of the students that attend Seminole County Public Schools and travel about 8 million miles annually.

Adult Education at Seminole State College helps to prepare adults for college and the world of work with practical instruction and plenty of guidance from staff and faculty. We offer the Adult High School and GED Prep programs for students looking to earn their high school diploma. We also have English Language Studies programs to help students improve their level of English.


The Office of Disability Support Services (DSS) at Seminole State offers college constituents equity and excellence in education. By working with students, faculty and staff on all Seminole State campuses, DSS ensures that appropriate academic adjustments are made to give all students equal opportunities inside the classroom and around campus. In order to receive services, students must provide appropriate documentation of a disability.


The Seminole System of Care (SSOC) is a four-year project designed to expand services available to transition-aged youth, ages 13-21, with mental health and/or co-occurring disorders, such as substance abuse. Our goal is to improve the bridge between child and adult-serving systems.

We provide assistance with Social Security related topics, like how to apply for Social Security benefits, what happens to benefits once one is working, what happens to benefits once one turns 18, and much more.


Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and competition to children and adults 8 years of age and older with intellectual and developmental disabilities.


Founded in March 2012, Turning 22, is a non-profit organization based in Central Florida. The purpose of Turning 22 is to provide continued Life Skills and Education to young adults (primarily in the age range of 22-30) with certain Physical and Intellectual Disabilities. The motivation behind Turning 22 emanates from founder Denise Wilkie and her love and devotion for her only son, Michael, who was born with Down Syndrome. As parents and educators seeking the next logical step in their son's development after high school, Denise and Paul Wilkie realized that there were no dedicated programs available to parents and families of intellectually and physically disabled persons in need of ongoing life skills training, education, physical education training, and/or job skills outside of the public school systems which serves students only up to age 22

UCF Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD) provides vocational, social, educational and recreational supports to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders, with the goal of optimizing community and life success. Consultative services are free to qualified residents.


Inclusive Education Services (IES) at the University of Central Florida offers students with intellectual disabilities an inclusive, comprehensive non-degree seeking academic experience with a vocational focus. IES is designed to be two-three years in length. Students who have graduated from and or completed the K-12 education system are eligible for participation. Some students live on campus in student housing and some students live with their family off campus. ​


VR Transition Youth Services help students train for a job, continue their education, or find a job after high school. ​


The mission of VSA Florida is to provide, support and champion arts education and cultural experiences for and by people with disabilities. Our vision is to create a world in which the arts are universally accessible. We do this by:

  • Conducting art education programs in schools, Department of Juvenile Justice facilities, and community centers

  • Promoting the accomplishments of artists with disabilities through our artist registry, exhibitions, and performances

  • Increasing access to the arts through professional development workshops

VSA Florida is headquartered at the David C. Anchin Center in the College of Education at the University of South Florida.


Young Life Capernaum gives young people with intellectual and developmental disabilities the chance to experience fun and adventure, to develop fulfilling friendships and to challenge their limits while building self-esteem through club, camp and other exciting activities.
