ASCA National Model

The school counseling profession has made tremendous strides since the ASCA National Model was first introduced. This fourth edition and subsequent editions are intended to carry school counselors and school counseling farther along their journey and ever closer to their goal of helping every student succeed."
National School Counseling Week
National School Counseling Week is always celebrated the first full week in February. National School Counseling Week, sponsored by ASCA, highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career.
National School Counseling Week 2021 will be celebrated from Feb. 1-5, 2021, to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within U.S. school systems.
I love celebrating the week with special announcements to my students. The 2020 theme was "resilience" and we talked about determination, self-confidence, and bravery. We discussed super heroes and having positive attitudes. I can't wait to see what the 2021 theme will be! Won't you celebrate with me!
