* Headphones are provided for students, as needed. However, if you'd like your student to have his/her own set of headphones, he/she must have a 3.5 mm or USB jack to work with SCPS devices.

Maturation Curriculum
Adolescence is a period of many changes and developments in your child’s life and it is natural for him/her to have many questions and concerns. We would encourage you to be aware of and involved with your child during these important years.
The teachers will be using a professionally made film which will be shown separately to the boys and girls called, “We're Growing Up.”
Parents are encouraged to preview the film. If, after reviewing the film, you do NOT wish your child to view the film, you may request that your child be excused. You must do this in writing by the date requested each year.
Parents may search for the MARSHMedia video entitled "We're Growing Up." Due to copyright laws, I cannot repost the link to the video but it can be found online. Parents may also sign up to preview the film at school during designated time slots.
More information is sent out in February each year.

Most of our students attend Markham Woods Middle School or Greenwood Lakes Middle Schools. However, our district is home to many magnet programs that students may apply to.
The Student Assignment and Program Access department handles all transfer and magnet requests. The magnet application is online and is open from October 1 - December 1 of the previous school year that is being applied for. Click this link for more information.
