Monday
No school.
Wednesday
In class = Students will be welcomed into the new school year and introduced to their Islamic Studies class. They will discuss the importance of learning about Allah ﷻ, the Qur’an, and good Islamic character and manners. Students will learn how Islamic Studies can help them understand their faith and apply Islamic teachings in their daily lives.
Students will also review and discuss classroom rules, expectations, respectful behaviour, participation, and organization. They will have an opportunity to ask questions and share what they already know about Islam.
Students should bring an Islamic Studies textbook, workbook, and a notebook specifically for Islamic Studies.
No homework: Write the 99 Names of Allah ﷻ (أسماء الله الحسنى)?
Thursday
In class = Students will review and reinforce important Islamic Studies concepts from Grade 5. They will revisit key topics, participate in class discussions, and answer review questions to refresh their understanding and strengthen their previous knowledge.
The review will include topics such as the Five Pillars of Islam, the Six Articles of Faith, prayer, the Qur’an, good manners and character, and the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
This revision will help students re-engage with their previous learning and prepare them for new Islamic Studies topics throughout the school year.
No homework: What does Bayt al-Ma‘mur (البيت المعمور) mean?
Friday
In class = Students will work on Qur’an memorization from Surah Al-Kahf. They will practice recitation, review previously memorized verses, and work on improving their pronunciation and fluency.
Homework= Read and review the first 5 ayahs of Surah Al-Kahf.
Practice reading with correct Tajweed and pronunciation.
Memorize the assigned ayahs.
Be prepared to recite them in the next class.

Week 2 (Sep 7- Sep 11)
Monday
No school.
Wednesday
In class =Students will continue their Essential Revision: Core Revision from Grade 5. They will review the Pillars of Islam and the Pillars of Iman, as well as important topics related to wudhu and salah.
Thursday
In class =Students will continue reviewing important rules and concepts related to wudhu and salah, including the obligatory acts of wudhu, the five daily prayers, Sunnah prayers, and the conditions and breakers of salah. Students will participate in discussion and review activities.
No homework:
Friday
In class =Students will work on Qur’an memorization from Surah Al-Kahf. They will practice recitation, review previously memorized verses, and work on improving their pronunciation and fluency.
Homework = Read and review the first 5 ayahs of Surah Al-Kahf.

Week 3 (Sep 14- Sep 18)
Monday
In class = Students will continue their Essential Revision by reviewing the Pillars of Islam and the Pillars of Iman. They will complete exercises, review questions, and classroom activities to reinforce their understanding of these important concepts.
Homework = Who is the Dajjal (الدجال)? What should Muslims know about him? And Who is Imam Al-Mahdi (الإمام المهدي)?
Wednesday
In class = Students will continue reviewing Tayammum and the breakers of Salah. They will review the important rules and requirements related to prayer and participate in questions, discussions, and practical review activities to strengthen their understanding.
Thursday
In class = Students will continue their revision of the Angels, the Books of Allah ﷻ, the Messengers of Allah ﷻ, the Last Day, and the Hereafter. Students will also review types of Islamic rulings, including forbidden (haram) and disliked (makruh). They will complete exercises and participate in class discussions to reinforce their understanding.
Homework = What does Salat ad-Duha (صلاة الضحى) mean? When is it prayed?
Friday
In class = Students will continue their Qur’an memorization from Surah Al-Kahf. They will review previously memorized verses and practice their recitation, pronunciation, and fluency.
Homework = Read and review the first 7 ayahs of Surah Al-Kahf.
Practice reading with correct Tajweed and pronunciation.
Memorize the assigned ayahs.
Be prepared to recite them in the next class.
