In class =Students will be welcomed to the new school year and introduced to Islamic Studies. They will discuss the importance of learning about Allah ﷻ, the Qur’an, and good character. Classroom rules, expectations, and participation will also be discussed.
Students should bring an Islamic Studies textbook, Workbook , and a notebook specifically for Islamic Studies.
No homework.
Friday
In class = Students will review and reinforce the Islamic Studies classroom rules and expectations to ensure they understand what is expected throughout the school year. Students will have an opportunity to ask questions and clarify expectations.
Introduction to the Six Pillars of Iman
Students will learn the six pillars of Iman and understand their importance in the life of a Muslim.
Belief in Allah
Belief in the Angels
Belief in the Books
Belief in the Messengers
Belief in the Last Day
Belief in Qadar (Divine Decree)
Students will strengthen their understanding through discussion and simple classroom activities.

Week 2 (Sep 7- Sep 11)

Thursday
In class = Students will continue studying The Six Pillars of Iman. They will review the six pillars and practice understanding them in both Arabic and English. Students will discuss what it means to believe in Allah ﷻ and why Iman is important in the life of a Muslim.
No homework.
Friday
In class = Students will continue exploring the Six Pillars of Iman, with a focus on understanding our belief in Allah ﷻ. Students will review that Allah ﷻ is One and has no partner, and they will connect this understanding to Surah Al-Ikhlas. Class discussion and activities will reinforce the lesson.

Week 3 (Sep 14- Sep 18)
