Week 1 (Sep 1- Sep 4)

Tuesday
In class = Students will be welcomed to the new school year and introduced to Islamic Studies. They will discuss the importance of learning about Allah ﷻ, the Qur’an, and good Islamic character and manners. Students will learn how Islamic Studies can help them understand their faith and apply Islamic teachings in their daily lives.
Students will also review and discuss classroom rules, expectations, respectful behaviour, participation, and organization. They will have an opportunity to ask questions and share what they already know about Islam.
Students should bring an Islamic Studies textbook, Workbook , and a notebook specifically for Islamic Studies.

Friday
In class =Students will begin Unit 1, Chapter 1: Understanding Tawheed, Shirk, and Kufr (Disbelief). They will learn the meaning and importance of Tawheed and discuss what it means to believe in the Oneness of Allah ﷻ.
Students will also begin exploring the meaning of Surah Al-Ikhlas and how it teaches us about the Oneness of Allah ﷻ.
No homework.
Week 2 (Sep 7- Sep 11)
Monday
No school – Labour Day
Tuesday
In class = Students will begin Unit 1, Chapter 1: Understanding Tawheed, Shirk, and Kufr (Disbelief). They will learn the meaning and importance of Tawheed and discuss what it means to believe in the Oneness of Allah ﷻ.
Students will also begin exploring the meaning of Surah Al-Ikhlas and how it teaches us about the Oneness of Allah ﷻ.
No homework.
Friday
In class = Students will continue studying Tawheed, Shirk, and Kufr. They will review the different aspects of Tawheed and strengthen their understanding through class discussion. Students will also continue working on the meaning of Surah Al-Ikhlas

Week 3 (Sep 14- Sep 18)
Monday
Students will continue studying The Three parts of Tawheed, Shirk, and Kufr (disbelief). They will review the meanings of these terms and the importance of worshipping Allah ﷻ alone. Students will complete exercises and activities to reinforce their understanding of Tawheed and its importance in Islam.
Tuesday
In class = Students will review Shirk and Kufr and discuss how the concepts differ. They will participate in questions and classroom activities to strengthen their understanding.
Friday
In class = Students will review the general meaning of Surah Al-Ikhlas and practice memorizing and translating the Surah. Students will also complete activities to reinforce the main concepts from the chapter.
