Mark's Induction Video

A standout basketball player at GFC for three seasons, Mark was the second leading scorer in Class A basketball and named Second Team All-State as a senior. He was selected to play in the Lions All-Star game in the summer following graduation. Mark went on to graduate from the University of North Dakota.

In speaking of his time at GFC, Mark's greatest memories are, “... the life-long relationships with friends and teammates which have endured over the years. Who'd have thought that I'd look fondly back upon running all those laps and lines for legendary coaches Dick Vinger and Pat Sullivan in the old, dusty gymnasium we used to practice and play in.” He feels that a sense of community and students, faculty and staff who truly support one another sets GFC apart from other schools. He advises current GFC students to never forget your roots at GFC and remember it with humble pride. He will forever look back with fondness and warmth on his days of wearing the Maroon & Grey.

Mark is in the midst of an accomplished professional career that is recognized nationwide. As the sports director at radio station KOA in Denver, he is the football and basketball voice of the University of Colorado Buffaloes. His work regularly includes broadcasting in the largest media markets and working with all professional teams in Denver, as well as national broadcasts on ESPN. Previously he was the radio voice for Syracuse University, as well as Illinois State University and the University of North Dakota.

Mark and his wife Susan live on a ranch in Evergreen, Colorado and are the parents of three children; Nicolas, Jacob, and Halle.
