Qualifications:
Membership in the Athletic Hall of Fame consists of athletic letter winners, coaches, and those who have made exceptional contributions in the field of athletics whether directly tied to Grand Forks Central or athletics away from Grand Forks Central.
Athlete: To be considered, an athletic letter winner shall be documented in Grand Forks Central athletic records. Athlete must have attained a high degree of proficiency, must have brought above average recognition to himself/herself and to Grand Forks Central High School because of successful athletic endeavors and must be a representative example of Grand Forks Central High School’s concept of dedication and who demonstrated high qualities of character and leadership. A period of ten (10) years must have elapsed since the nominee last participated in athletics at Grand Forks Central.
Coach: To be considered on the basis of leadership, duration, quality of coaching record, program growth, and achievement of the individual after leaving coaching service. A period of five (5) years must have elapsed since the nominee last participated in athletics at Grand Forks Central.
Significant Contributor: A special Hall of Fame category is reserved for those people who have made significant contributions to athletics in general, but who were not singled out as outstanding during their careers at Grand Forks Central.
Prestigious Alumni: This special Hall of Fame category celebrates those who have made a significant impact in the athletic world post-graduation, showcasing their dedication, skill, and success on a broader stage. While they no longer have a direct affiliation with the school, their remarkable accomplishments in their respective sports reflect the high level of excellence they have maintained.
