Welcome!

I am Cynthia Villanea Estrella from Camarines Sur, the Philippines. This province in the Bicol Region is known for its authentic spicy and coconut milk-based dishes and Mount Isarog. Naga City, where I spent most of my life, is also renowned as a center for pilgrimage. Every September, it hosts the famous Peñafrancia Festival, drawing devotees from far and wide. Neighboring Albay is home to the majestic, near-perfect cone of Mount Mayon. The region is also known for its ‘Oragon’ spirit—a term that signifies boldness, resilience, and excellence, reflecting the fierce determination and strong character of being a Bicolano.

These names: Nene, Cha, Star, Thia — reflect the many pieces of who I am, shaped by both my heritage and the hearts who’ve walked with me.

Using my initials, CVE, as a creative hook, I offer another fresh self-introduction and a personal tagline.

C – Care: I care deeply—for myself, for the welfare and growth of my students, and for building strong, respectful collaboration with the local colleagues, and fellow foreign teachers and Filipinos.

V – Value: I value every individual I support. I also believe that my character is shaped not only by what I give, but also by how I am treated.

E – Engage: I actively engage in all areas of my professional life—whether at school, in the English center, or within the broader community.

These principles guide my teaching, my relationships, and my daily interactions.

Xie xie and mabuhay!
