As part of the Xitu Annual Flower Festival held in Xitu Township, Changhua County from February 10 to 25, 2024, the Changhua International Education and English Resource Center (CIEETRC) organized an interactive and educational game for visitors during its designated hosting day.
The other game was personally designed by one of our team members, and I focused on the "3 Ws" of five popular flowers: orchid, morning glory, sunflower, cherry blossom, and rose. The 3 Ws stood for:
What is the name of the flower? | Where/When does it bloom? | What is its typical color?
Participants were encouraged to engage in English while answering the questions, making the activity both fun and educational. To ensure inclusivity and comprehension, staff members were available to provide verbal translations and explanations in Mandarin whenever players had difficulty understanding the English instructions or content.
This activity not only highlighted the beauty and diversity of flowers but also promoted English learning in a supportive and festive environment.
The monthly meeting involves teachers' sharing of life experiences and varied workshops.

As part of the event, there was a segment where we were tasked with bringing the "Most Handsome" individual into the venue. Seizing the opportunity to energize the crowd, I spontaneously invited the politician to join me. Without hesitation, he agreed.

Introducing, Luke a volunteer at the center who helps us about the English program. He is also the Executive Director of "My Culture Connect."
I’m grateful for the opportunity to speak today and share some insights drawn from my experiences teaching in both private and international school settings. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse student communities, navigating different curricular approaches, and learning from a range of educational philosophies.
This time, I want to reflect on how curriculum design and implementation vary between private and international schools, and what that has taught me as an educator.in the Philippines, Hong Kong, and Indonesia.
