When I first met the members of our Drama Club, they were shy, soft-spoken children who could barely stand in front of the class, let alone perform on stage. Most of them joined in Grade 3 and 4, hesitant but curious, holding on to their scripts with trembling hands and eyes full of wonder. I still remember our first rehearsals, filled with laughter, awkward silences, and a lot of encouragement. Little did they know, that was the beginning of a journey that would change their lives and mine forever.
Through the years, I watched them grow, not just as performers but as individuals. With every line spoken, every gesture practiced, and every rehearsal attended, they found their voice, their courage, and their passion. We poured our hearts into every piece we performed, and the hard work paid off. From local performances to standing ovations, we rose from being the quiet group in the corner to the champion team in Changhua. The joy and pride we felt when we competed in the Nationals in Keelung and won first runner up award is something words can barely capture.
Now is the year 2025. As our original members prepare to graduate from Grade 6, my heart is full. I’ve witnessed their transformation, and I know they will carry the confidence, creativity, and friendship they built here into the next chapter of their lives. Drama Club was never just about acting, it was about discovering who we are and what we are capable of. And as I watch them take their final bow, I will forever be grateful for the privilege of walking alongside them on this beautiful journey.
