This is a student-led newspaper and our staff is working to provide students with interesting articles, fun comics, and information on special events.
There will be four issues this year.
MEET OUR STAFF
Imani Royal
Hi! I am Imani Royal and I am on the 8th Grade Blue team. I have 1 older brother. I am in the NJHS, Newspaper, and the Pep Club. I love to sing, cook, dance, write, and read. I’m currently planning on being a journalist/writer. I have multiple favorite teachers. My favorite subjects are reading and math (at times). I hope that you all enjoy what we write!
Miranda Vargas
Hello, I’m Miranda Vargas. I’m on the 8th grade copper team. Some of my hobbies are reading, drawing, writing, and going on walks. My favorite things are my dog and cat. My dog's name is Randy; we got him in December last year. My cat's name is Asparagus; we got him in February last year. I have 2 siblings, one older brother (15) and he is a sophomore in high school, and one younger brother (9) and he is a fourth grader. I haven’t traveled anywhere recently, but I’d like to visit Colorado.
Carli McMillen
Hey, I'm Carli Mcmillen. I’m on the 8th grade Copper Team. My favorite things to do in my free time are draw, color, and hang out with friends. My favorite colors are black and deep red. I technically have 8 siblings. Every year I go to Missouri to visit my uncle and I recently went to Branson, Missouri for a vacation with my uncle, my oldest brothers, and my nephew. My favorite animal is a koala bear because they are sweet and care for each other.
Annabel Cheney
Hi, my name is Annabel Cheney. I’m on the 7th grade silver tea, and I'm an honour roll student. I play volleyball for the school as well as a club team. I like reading, writing, painting, crocheting, and roller skating. I'm also in orchestra. I have one dog named Lunar. I love talking to my mother and hanging out with her. I like Hello Kitty and Spiderman. I’m focused as well as a hard working student.
Alayah Marable
Hi, My name is Alayah Marable and I’m in 7th grade on the Silver Team. I’m in orchestra and I play the cello. In my free time I also play the guitar. Some things I enjoy and my hobbies are listening to music, writing, playing my instruments, watching my favourite shows, playing Block Blast, playing tennis or badminton, hanging out with my family and friends, music festivals, and window shopping. I’ve been to multiple states and am planning on going to Canada. I would really like to get a pet cat, but I’m currently unable to.
