New Members

Course Registration for Band/Guard

Those interested in joining the band or guard class for the school year should reach out to their counselor. Incoming 9th graders will have the opportunity to choose their classes before joining Atwater High School. Note that you will have to sign up for 2 classes either the Band 1 or Guard 1 course, and the Band/PE course for 0 period. In regards to colorguard, there will be clinics/auditions held near the end of the school year to determine if you make the line.

Parent Band Booster Meeting

The first Monday of the Month: 7:00pm [In the Band Room]

For the week of Band Camp; our meeting will be held Friday during our Family Night Performance.

Our Parent Band Booster is the reason our program runs so efficiently. Our Booster Board is an experienced group of parents that will facilitate our attendees in finding ways on how your family can be involved with our program. This meeting is a great way to find out what goes on behind the scenes and what it entails for our band program to be successful.

Band Camp Schedule

The week of July 20th - 24th

Monday: 1:00pm - 9:00pm

Tuesday - Thursday: 2:30pm - 9:00pm 

Friday: 9:00am - 12:00pm; Family Night Performance: 7:00pm

It is crucial that all members; new and returning, band and guard, attend our Band Camp; the week before the start of school. During these rehearsals, members will dive into the competition march for our fall season, the ins and outs of our program, as well as the fundamentals of marching. All members will also be measured for their uniforms by our uniform parents. For new members, you will have the opportunity to meet others within your section, which will help give you a head start on meeting new faces before the first day of school. 

In order to be prepared, Please bring:

• Lightweight, breathable clothes

• Binder, Sheet protectors, and Pencils (Musicians only)

• Water
