The Concert Band is designed for members that are new to the band realm and focuses on the fundamentals of music making, such as rhythm development, pitch identification, and all music literacy as it pertains to wind and percussion playing. The Concert Band rehearses during the school day and focuses on grade 2 - 3 music for performance at concerts. Advanced players may be a part of this ensemble to learn a secondary instrument or learn music-instructing techniques.

The Wind Symphony is designed for grades 10 - 12 and focuses on more advanced music-making techniques for winds and percussion. The ensemble continues music literacy from where the Concert Band curriculum leaves off and performs Grade 3 - 4 music, both in concert and at festivals. The Wind Symphony is split between 2 class periods for more individualized instruction. Entry into the Wind Symphony is by demonstrating mastery of all Concert Band objectives.
