This study will build on the findings of the International Study of Teacher Leadership (ISTL I), shared in a large number of publications, with major summaries appearing in Conway (2023), Okoko and Webber (2021), and Webber (2023).
The ISTL II is intended to facilitate deeper understanding of the role of teacher leaders in increasingly politicized and rapidly changing cultural contexts.
In particular, the ISTL II will explore the relationships among teacher leaders and educational community members, including those holding formal school leadership appointments, professional development designers, postsecondary teachers and researchers, policy makers, members of unions and professional organizations, and school community members.
