Master's Project for the MA in Foreign Language Teaching

ACTFL 2019 Conference Participation

As part of the MAFLT Program, students participate in an Experiential Module, which is an opportunity for students to deepen their knowledge in a specific area. For my EM, I decided to attend The American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) Annual Convention and World Languages Expo. I was able to partake in numerous sessions over various topics relating to foreign language teaching. After the conference, I wrote some reflections over different session types, a lesson plan incorporating new knowledge from the conference, and a presentation about my experience. I believe that my wealth of knowledge has expanded because of this experience and I am now more equipped to be an effective language teacher.
