¡Hola! My name is Matthew Starr and I teach Spanish 1 and 2 at Grandview High School in Grandview, Missouri. I received a Bachelor in Secondary Spanish Education from Missouri Western State University in 2012 and I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Foreign Language Teaching from Michigan State University, which I will receive in May 2020. I also have a Graduate Certificate in Educational Technology from Avila University, which I received in 2018. I have also had the opportunity to spend time in Mexico as a student and Chile as a volunteer teacher.
This website showcases my work in the MAFLT Program at Michigan State. This portfolio includes work and artifacts from the courses that I completed within the MAFLT program. Additionally, I have included my CV, my teaching philosophy, a short video of me teaching, and evidence of my Spanish language proficiency.
